Train That Cat!

I am giddy with excitement. I just found photos of the cats (and me) at our last training demonstration. These were taken by a photographer on behalf of the Indianapolis Star. Five of the photos were not included in the actual newspaper article. I hope you enjoy them!

Almost Famous

Welcome to my new training blog. Here, you'll be able to keep track of me and my pets. We're always up to something and will have lots to post about.

On Tuesday, my cats Yuki and Luca performed a variety of tricks for the public. A reporter and photographer were present to interview me and take pictures of the kitties. We had a TON of fun. The cats performed very well and the photographer even commented on how impressed he was that they weren't bothered by the camera or the flash. Luca wiggled a lot (I really need to teach him to hold still), but I'm convinced that Yuki would make a wonderful feline model.

Those who attended the demonstration got to see Luca play the piano and give high-fives. He also kissed a few of the children and demonstrated how to do a barrel roll. Yuki demonstrated sit, targeting, piano-playing and even jumped through a Christmas wreath. Both kitties greeted their fans after the show.

I still need to work on not blocking the view of the spectators as I work with my cats, but overall our demonstrations just keep getting better and better! Currently Luca is about 5 1/2 months old and Yukis is about 8 months old. I can't imagine what we might doing in a year, but I can't wait to find out!
